If you want spend a peaceful holiday, in an undiscovered place, we recommend you Ripabianca: with
its medieval castle, this lovely town, which name comes from the properties of the soil, is skilled in earthenware making (vases, jars, pitchers and amphorae).
Today, the production still follows the old techniques related by Cipriano Piccolpasso in the second half of 16th century.
In Ripabianca there are four well preserved kilns of whom one is still in use. These kilns have an extraordinary building value, especially now that there are no more kilns in Umbria.
This little resort is situated in a strategic point: in fact, in a short time you can reach the most charming place of the green and old Umbria, like Deruta, Todi, Perugia,
Assisi, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco and Spoleto.
Moreover it’s very near to a pretty manège and to a wonderful natural park full of animals, “Il Parco del Sole”,
where you can hike or make a bicycling tour.
For the lovers of painting and art, near Ripabianca there is Deruta, a well-known city in the world for its majolicas, its "Museo
Regionale della Ceramica di Deruta" *, which is one of the most important museum in all Europe, and for the chance to do painting course in specialized schools for amateurs and professional
men.
